Fabric designer, painter, graphic artist. Born into a peasant family. Studied at an arts and crafts studio in Petrograd (1921–22), at the Academy of Arts (1922–24, expelled by the student quality control commission) and the Leningrad Technical College of Art and Industry (1925–27). Attended Pavel Filonov’s studio (1927–41). Worked at Lenizo (1932–41) and as a fabric designer in the Tribune Artel (after 1945). Died in Leningrad and buried at the St Seraphim Cemetery (1980). Contributed to exhibitions and fabric design competitions (1937, 1940, 1952).
