Painter, graphic artist. Born in the family of Nikolai Yesaulenko in the city of Krasnodar in south-west Russia (1942). Member of Mihail Chemiakine’s St Petersburg group. Emigrated to New York (1978). Died in the town of Claverack in Columbia County, New York (1987). Contributed to exhibitions, including the nonconformist shows at the Ivan Gaza Palace of Culture in Leningrad (1974), Nevsky Palace of Culture in Leningrad (1975) and Musée russe en exil at the Château du Moulin de Senlis in Montgeron (1976), Abstraction in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02) and Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006).
