Graphic artist, painter, teacher. Born in the family of applied artist and teacher Yevgeny Hoffert (1875–1920) in the small town of Serdobsk in Saratov Province (1899). Studied at Serdobsk Primary School (1909–14) and Serdobsk Grammar School (1914–17). Taught drawing at Serdobsk District School of Art (1919–22). Studied graphic art at the VKhUTEIN in Petrograd (1922–24). Worked on the Homeless Waifs series (1924). Member of the Community of Artists (late 1920s). Died in an unknown location (1968). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1925). Contributed to the Jubilee Exhibition of Fine Arts at the Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1927), Exhibition of Acquisitions of the State Commission for Acquisitions of Works of Fine Arts for 1927–28 in Moscow (1928), VII Exhibition of the Community of Artists in Leningrad (1928) and St Petersburg: A Portrait of the City and its Citizens at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2003).
