    Painter, graphic artist. Born in the family of Matvei Dorogov (1819). Studied at the Mining Institute in St Petersburg (late 1830s) and under Maxim Vorobyov at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1841–47). Awarded a minor silver medal (1845), major silver medal (1845) and a minor gold medal and the title of artist (1847).
