Tsarevna Eudoxia Alexeyevna was the second child and first daughter of Alexis Mikhailovich and Maria Miloslavskaya. She was born in Moscow on 17 February 1650. Although Eudoxia never formally took the veil, she lived at the Novodevichy Convent, where her personal icon of the Holy Virgin Mary Portaitissa Iviron (Balkans, 17th century) still hangs in her former cell. She died in Moscow on 10 May 1712 and was buried at the Novodevichy Convent.
