Vladimir Sitnikov

Painter, graphic artist, book designer, object artist, photographer. Born in Moscow (1958). Graduated from the Krasnaya Presnya School of Art in Moscow (1976) and Moscow Institute of Polygraphy (1985). Took up studio painting and graphic art (1985). Created painterly-graphic reliefs and objects (1988–90). Collaborated with the Marat Guelman Gallery (from 1992). Member of the Union of Artists (1992), International Art Foundation (1993) and the Bundesverband Bildender Künstler Schleswig-Holstein (1996). Emigrated to Germany (1995) and settled in Kiel (1996). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1986), including Abstraction in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02).
