Painter, graphic artist, theatrical designer, object artist, installation artist, curator of exhibitions of modern art. Born in the family of Stanislav Filippov in the town of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East (1959). Moved with his family to Moscow (1960). Studied stage direction at the studio school of the Moscow Art Theatre (1976–81). Designed sets and costumes for the Children’s Musical Theatre (1982–84). Took up painting (1982). Contributed to the actions of the Apt-Art Gallery in Moscow (1982–84). Member of the Municipal Committee of Graphic Artists (1986). Founding member of the Club of Avant-Gardists (1987). Joined the Union of Artists (1993). Lives and works in Moscow. Contributed to exhibitions, including Poésie de l’eau dans l’Art Russe at the Palais Lumière in Evian (2007).
