Architect, graphic artist, sculptor, painter. Born in the family of a professional revolutionary called Vasily Lanin in the village of Krasivaya Mech in Tula Region (1925). Studied at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1946–52). Attempted a synthesis of art on an electronic basis. Died in St Petersburg (2006). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1956).
