Painter, graphic artist, teacher. Born in the family of Mikhail Luppov in the town of Slobodskoi in Vyatka Province (1893). Studied under Konstantin Juon at the School of Painting and Drawing in Moscow (1912) and at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1912–17). Lived and worked in Slobodskoi (1918–23). Member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (1923), Moscow Fellowship of Artists (1924) and the Society of Moscow Artists (1925). Lived and worked in Moscow (1923–77). Died in Moscow (1977). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1920), including Play and Passion in Russian Fine Art at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (1999–2000), Portraiture in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02) and Venus Sovietica at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2007).
