Applied artist, teacher. Related to Nikolai Stulov. Born in the family of a wooden carver called Konstantin Stulov (1870–1916) in the village of Bogorodskoe near Sergiev Posad (1902). Studied under his father (1910s) and worked at the Crafts and Toy Artel in Bogorodskoe (from 1917). Taught wooden fretwork at the Bogorodskoe School of Carving (from 1929). Headed a public workshop (from 1931) and worked at the toy laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute of Arts and Crafts in Moscow (from 1932). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR. Died in an unknown location (1979). Contributed to exhibitions, including Fairytales in Russia at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2000) and Russian Folk Toys at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2002).
