Painter, mosaicist, teacher. Born in the family of Balthasar Beringer in Alexanderhilf near Odessa (1875). Studied at the Odessa School of Drawing (1890–93) and the Imperial Academy of Arts (1893–99). Painted Impressionist landscapes of Russia, Crimea and the Orient (mid-1900s to late 1910s). Taught at educational institutions in St Petersburg/Leningrad (from 1898) and worked in the mosaic studio of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1898–1918). Died in Leningrad (1942). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1899). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1901–16), St Petersburg Society of Artists (1907–12), Imperial Society of Russian Watercolourists (1911–17), Fellowship of Artists (1916) and the Arkhip Kuinji Society (1917–29).
