Painter, graphic artist. Born in the village of Arkhangelskoe in Orenburg Province (1873). Graduated from the Neplyuev Military Academy in Orenburg (1891). Studied at the School of Drawing of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts (1894–96) and under Vladimir Makovsky at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1896–1902). Foreign fellow of the Imperial Academy of Arts in Germany and France (1902). Lived and worked in Orenburg (1903–14). Member of the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (from 1903) and the Arkhip Kuinji Society. Academician of painting (1912). Died at the age of forty in Orenburg (1914). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1897). Contributed to the exhibitions of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1898, 1899), Moscow Society of Lovers of the Arts (1899–1901, 1903), Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (1900–09, 1915) and the Arkhip Kuinji Society (1910s).
