Italian painter, lithographer, restorer, curator. Born in the family of Giovanni Brioschi in Florence (1786). Studied history painting under Pietro Benvenuti at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence (1791–1808) and at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St Petersburg (1811–13). Nominated to the Imperial Academy of Arts (1812), member of the Imperial Academy of Arts (1813) and Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence (1825). Contributed lithographs to the album Représentation d? la fête, donnée par Sa Majesté L’Impératrice à S. ?. I. ?-me la Grande Duchesse Marie de Saxe-Weimar à St.-Pétersbourg, 4 Février 1822 (1822). Worked as a curator and restorer of paintings at the Imperial Hermitage (1817–43), frequently visiting Florence on Hermitage business (1835–36, 1843). Died in Florence (1843).
