French painter, draughtsman, engraver. Worked at the Imperial Porcelain Factory (1808–13) and General Headquarters (1822–28). Took up lithography (1816). Collaborated with Karl Friedrich Sabbath on the Views of St Petersburg and Environs series of lithographs published by the Society for the Encouragement of Artists (1821–26). Worked as a draughtsman in Turkey (1833).
