Photographer, painter. Graduated from the studios of Nikita Charushin and Andrei Pakhomov at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1987). Joined Parallel, a group of artists continuing the St Petersburg school of avant-garde of the students and followers of Mikhail Matiushin, Kazimir Malevich and Pavel Filonov (1970s–90s). Member of the Union of Artists. Contributed to exhibitions in Russia and abroad (from 1985). Designed books on the art, history and architecture of St Petersburg, albums and catalogues for the Hermitage, Russian Museum and other museums. Author of the Petersburg: Hours project celebrating the three-hundredth anniversary of St Petersburg (2003). Published such albums of original photographs as Winter (2002), Line (2003), Night (2003), Suburbs (2003) and Sun (2004). Lives and works in St Petersburg.
