Amateur painter, biophysicist, pioneer of heliobiology and aero-ionification. Born in the family of Leonid Chizhevsky (1897). Professor, honorary president of the International Congress of Biological Physics and Cosmic Biology in the United States (1939). Arrested in Chelyabinsk (1942). Served his sentence in Ivedellag in Sverdlovsk Region and the Butyrki Prison in Moscow. Exiled to Spassk of Karlag (1943). Lived in Karaganda following his release (until 1959). Wrote poetry and music in exile. Mostly painted watercolours. Died (1964).
