Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, theatrical designer, teacher. Studied at Proletcult studios (1920), VKhUTEMAS in Petrograd (1921–24) and under Paul Mansouroff and Mikhail Bobyshev at the Leningrad Technical College of Art and Industry (1924–26). Joined the Masters of Analytical Art after the closure of Paul Mansouroff’s studio (1926) and studied under Pavel Filonov (1926–30). Worked at the experimental lithographic studio of the Union of Artists in Leningrad and under Vladimir Lebedev at the department of children’s literature of the State Publishing House (1930s) and for Battle Pencil (1941). Designed the layout of pavilions at the All-Union Exhibition of Agriculture (1950s). Taught at the Leningrad Theatrical Institute (from 1958). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1924), including Masters of Analytical Art: The Filonov School at the House of Printing in Leningrad (1927).
