Lev Lanets

Sculptor. Born in the family of Semyon Lanets in Leningrad (1941). Studied under Mikhail Anikushin at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1962–68). Died in St Petersburg (2004). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1970). Contributed to Abstraction in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02), Petersburg-2002 at the Manège Central Exhibition Hall in St Petersburg (2003) and Times of Change: Art in the Soviet Union (1960–85) at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2006).
