Painter, draughtsman. Born in the family of Lev Kamenev in the town of Rylsk in Kursk Province (1833). Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1854–57). Member of the Moscow Society of Lovers of the Arts (1861). Fellow of the Moscow Society of Lovers of the Arts in Germany (1862–64). Academician (1869). Founding member of the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (1870). Died in the village of Savvinskaya Sloboda near the town of Zvenigorod (1886).
